Interference is defined as the effect of unwanted energy due to one or a combination of emissions, radiations, or inductions upon reception in a radio communication system, manifested by any performance degradation, misinterpretation, or loss of information which could be extracted in the absence of such unwanted energy (National Spectrum Management 2005).
Interference processing is not only very important, but also a very complex task, justifying why we require detailed description of any reports made.
Interference reports are acceptable through a completed form. It is important that the client include the key items of information as follows:
- Name, address and telephone number of the party experiencing the interference
- Complete description of the interfered with Radio station (type, frequency, assignment number, location).
- Data on the occurrence of the interference (when first noticed, time frequency, whether regular or sporadic).
