St. Ann, May 1, 2015 – The Spectrum Management Authority (SMA) participated in the Managing  System and  Electronics  Computing  Technology (MSEC TECH) - Technology  Exposition which was held on April 30, 2015 at the Moneague College, St. Ann.  The Expo was coordinated by the MSEC TECH club which is mandated to “expose the bright minds of tertiary level students to the various attributes and fundamentals technology has to offer.”  The theme was ‘Innovation, Sustainability and self-reliance through technology’.

The SMA was invited to showcase its role in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry, build awareness about the ICT industry and to outline the educational requirements needed to gain a position within the agency thereby putting the students on the right pathway to success.  In addition to visitors being able to interact with members of the SMA team to learn about what we do, the day’s activities included a display of SMA’s remote monitoring and direction finding vehicle which is used to aid the SMA in identifying sources of interference in the field.

The SMA commends MSEC TECH on this initiative and looks forward to participating in future events.
