Mrs. Kaydian A. Smith Newton, a Thomas Buergenthal Scholar, has been a practising Attorney-at-Law since 2004. She holds a master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law. In 2009, Mrs. Smith Newton re-entered the public service as the first Legislative Counsel at the Houses of Parliament; a position she held for three (3) years. Presently, she is the Principal Director of Telecommunications in the Ministry of Science, Energy, Telecommunications and Transport. Mrs. Smith Newton has been serving on the SMA’s Board since June 2014.
